A one-day North/South conference on Autism was held on Tuesday 15th April in Dublin.

Education through the spectrum,  co-sponsorred by the Education Departments (DE and DES),  was addressed by Ministers Ruane and Hanafin.

In her speech Minister Ruane singled out the "fabulous" work being done to address autism at Harberton and Torbank schools. Minister Ruane, during her visit to Torbank School, visited the SPEAC centre earlier this year to witness at first hand the work of the pupils and staff at the centre.
